Pet Poisons

We recently had a scare when our mini dachshund, Birdie, ate something he shouldn’t have! Long story short- he is fine, thank goodness! But, it was a huge wake up call to how diligent & aware we need to be as pet owners. They WILL eat things they shouldn’t. Things that could make them really sick or kill them.

One surprising fact I learned in researching this article is how poisonous raisins are to dogs. I knew about grapes, but it never occurred to me that raisins were deadly. Just a handful can kill your dog. Crazy. Be heads up. Know what is poisonous.

Watch your pet for any weird symptoms that may be signs of poisoning-lack of appetite, diarrhea, vomiting, excessive drooling, lethargy.

Keep the pet poison control number in your phone JUST IN CASE! (855) 764-7661 There is a fee, but it is well worth it. They know their stuff.
